From challenge to tested concept in 5 days

We worked with a global energy provider that has sites and offices around the world. They needed to accelerate action on a high priority strategic goal and wanted to run a Google Design Sprint to go from challenge to tested concept in just 5 days.

What we did

Lab21st collaborated with the leadership team to scope, plan and facilitate the Google Design Sprint. We started setting the right scope by defining the sprint challenge, what success looks like, understanding the target user, and setting the right cross functional sprint team. With solid preparations we kicked off the sprint with state of the art inspiration, expert interviews and deep user insights that inspired the team to raise the bar and open up the solution space. From +100 ideas we detailed 6 concepts and defined business critical hypotheses that needed to be true in order to invest further in the concept. During the last days of the sprint week we developed a digital prototype bringing together all of the new concepts and tested it with 6 potential users to validate the critical hypotheses.

Outcome

Based on the test of the digital prototype we left the team with a clear recommendation for moving forward and an action plan for how to take the prototype to a launched concept.

Stop talking about your targets.

Start acting on them.
